LARP Bullshit

Well, I figured I have the outlet so I might as well use it. Todays rant will be about the TGN Larp. I'm getting really, REALLY, sick of all the political bullshit that seems to be the driving factor in a TGN Game. All the alpha challenges, the proper chiminage, respect those who have higher rank etc... What ever happened to listening to someone's idea because they EARNED your respect, not just because they have a fancy title? It annoys the fuck out of me that my character could be punished for breaking one of a multitude of stupid little rules, or I forgot to address someone properly. I know that the mechanic is there to simulate the hierarchy in an actual wolf pack, but what the rules seems to forget is that Garou are also half human, and that is NOT how humanity works all the time. Granted there are examples like the military, gov't, etc...but you're not forced to call a 4-star general Sir in civilian life, you can call him a bum-fuck-retard and not get in trouble...

All in all I am not impressed with the Larp...Hopefully the bringing in of NPC leadership will give some direction to the game and take people away from all the petty squabbles that are ever-present in the current system. If not, I don't really see myself continuing to play. I like the socialization and hanging out with friends, but the game itself needs a major overhaul.

Day 2

Well, it's now the second day in the life of my blog and as I sit here I realize that I am, in fact, mostly talking to myself. Whether or not this will prove to be theraputic has yet to be determined, but I will continue with this current action nontheless...

On a side note, I have realized that I have every Friday off and nothing to do... I need to start thinking about the possibility of organizing another game day/night. I would like to see either a 3.5 game, or a non-LFR 4e game get going, as I am getting pretty sick of the way that the LFR system is run, but that will have to wait for another post...

I'm really not sure why I'm doing this, but it seems prudent in todays internet based society. Mostly I will use this account purely for posting to other sites but there may occasionally be a rant on here if I have a really crappy day. But today is not such a day...
